InnoAsia, an official program of the Asian Contents & Film Market (ACFM), and global marketing agency INNOCEAN are excited to announce the inaugural call for submissions for "Cinema by Brand 2026."

We are seeking short film projects (up to 20 minutes) that shed new light on a brand's values and philosophy through innovative, cinematic storytelling—all while putting the director's unique vision and creative autonomy front and center.

  • Pre-Selection: Following the selection of approximately 12 projects in the first round, individual contracts will be executed, followed by mentoring sessions for scriptwriting and pitching
  • Pitching Evaluation: Conducted in English (online or private sessions)
  • * The schedule is subject to change depending on the evaluation process.
Target Projects Production support for short films (20-minute running time) intended for global OTT and theatrical distribution
* Completed films will be packaged into a short film anthology.
Brand Brief A story featuring ‘Space Solar Power’ built on the philosophy of Hanwha that inspires hope for the future of humanity.

Final Selections
  • Number of Selected Projects: 3
  • Development & Production Funding: Up to 500 million KRW per project (including the project management fee for the Producers Guild of Korea (PGK))
  • PGK Project Management: Project management provided by the Producers Guild of Korea (PGK) (Please refer to the details for final selected projects below)
Eligibility Director: Must have directing credit for at least one feature film that was theatrically released or released as an OTT original.

  • Text Formatting: Arial / 10 pt / Black font

  • PDF format for a pitch under 5 minutes (video/image files can be embedded)

※ Important Notes
  • Pitch Deck: Casting proposals are mandatory. Additional details such as Key Selling Points (Brand Points), Key Crew, Production Plan, etc., may be added freely.
  • Budget Plan: Must clearly categorize Pre-production, Production, and Post-production, providing detailed information on estimated timelines and budget allocation.
  • Incomplete submissions may be disqualified from evaluation without prior notice.

for Selected
Projects
1. Pre-selected Projects (Approx. 12 Projects)
  • The Producers Guild of Korea (PGK) will execute contracts with the pre-selected projects and provide a development grant of 5,000,000 KRW per project.
  • INNOCEAN shall hold a First Look Option regarding the utilization of the pre-selected projects for one (1) year starting from the contract execution date with PGK.
  • Pre-selected applicants must faithfully adhere to the development program and schedule conducted by PGK following the selection announcement.

2. Final Selected Projects (3 Projects)
  • The production of final selected projects will be overseen and managed by PGK, which includes full management responsibility for production schedules, budgets, and production personnel. Final selected applicants must faithfully submit all materials requested by PGK as required for production.
  • The sponsor logo must be included in the opening credits, and the organizer logos must be included in the ending credits of the completed film.
  • Consent for archiving the final video materials by INNOCEAN and the Asian Contents & Film Market (ACFM).
  • Consent for the organizer and sponsor to use the final video materials strictly for promotional/marketing purposes.
  • Consent to the use of portrait rights and other content for the promotional marketing of this program.
  • Submission of posters, still cuts, completed making-of films, and materials for the comprehensive editing of the anthology making-of film.
  • Full cooperation with the filming of the anthology making-of film.
※ Note: Matters regarding revenue sharing of the final video materials, beyond the terms listed above, will be governed by a separate contract.
General
Notices
  • The selection and evaluation schedule for this program is subject to change based on the host organization’s circumstances.
  • All submitted documents will not be returned, and modifications or resubmissions after the application deadline are strictly prohibited.
  • All official notices and communications will be sent via email; applicants must provide an accurate and valid email address.
  • Selection results will be notified individually to applicants via email.
  • Submissions that are ineligible, incomplete, or missing required attachments that prevent proper evaluation will be disqualified without prior notice.
  • Projects submitted after the deadline will be disqualified without prior notice.
  • Evaluation details, scores, and review notes will remain confidential.
  • Projects subject to legal disputes, including plagiarism, are ineligible for submission. If such issues are discovered later, the selection will be revoked immediately.
