The Busan Story Market (BSM), which notably launched last year as the world's first primary Intellectual Property (IP) sales market, has unveiled this year’s official Korean IP selections. BSM is a rights sales market where stories—the foundation of all content—are traded to enable their reproduction across various platforms.
For the Korean IP selections, a total of eleven stories, eight books, eight webtoons, and three web novels have been officially confirmed. Each work showcases heightened levels of quality, originality, and timeliness while delving into diverse subject matter. previous years when webtoon IPs held a significant portion, this year saw a majority of story-focused works being selected. This shift indicates a growing demand for IP in the early stages with significant potential.
