Platform BUSAN, a networking event where independent filmmakers from Asia gather in Busan to explore opportunities for solidarity and collaboration for mutual growth will be accepting participant applications from Mon, 22 July to Mon, 19 Aug.

Since 2017, Platform BUSAN has been a vital force in advancing Asian cinema, and it is once again opening its doors for participant recruitment. Now in its sixth year, Platform BUSAN has welcomed 848 participants from 41 countries. It serves as a dynamic venue for emerging professionals in the Korean and Asian film industries to delve into various fields, including production, distribution, and investment. This platform enables new filmmakers to explore collaborative opportunities with rising filmmakers across Asia and engage in case studies of co-production projects, paving the way for future ventures.

Participant applications for Platform BUSAN 2024 will be accepted from 22 July to 19 Aug. Emerging filmmakers in Asia and Korea, who have played a major role in the production of at least one short film or up to two feature films, are eligible to apply. All programs will be conducted in English to facilitate the exchange among Asian filmmakers.
