Jean-PeĂŻc Chou serves as AI Curator at the Asian Contents & Film Market. He is a PhD student in Computer Science at Stanford University and a filmmaker. His research examines how stories are shaped and experienced, and how these insights can inform the design of original computational tools supporting creation. Drawn to exploring how technology continually reshapes cinema, Jean-PeĂŻc founded the AI ShortFest, a space for showcasing AI-assisted films and dialogue about the future of media.
Bernie is a Peabody and three-time Primetime Emmy award-winning creator, director, and interactive storyteller. He is the creator of the Whispers interactive mystery experience for Pickford AI. Previously, he was the creator of the Emmy winning interactive series, The Lizzie Bennet Diaries, Emma Approved and Artificial winning the first two emmys for YouTube and the first for Twitch. He recently directed the Olay Body Wash 2025 Asian American commercial campaign and is developing the AI animated feature Every Living Creature for Staircase Studios. He speaks frequently about the use, ethics, and risk of generative AI in the creator economy and entertainment industries.
Chuck Chae is a director and producer, and the CEO of ARIA Studios, pioneering intelligent entertainment. He merges cinematic language with advanced technologies, exploring audience-participatory storytelling powered by AI and machine learning. He worked as VFX producer for Mr. Go and supervised VFX for Detective Dee 3, which was nominated for Best Visual Effects at both the 55th Golden Horse Awards and the Hong Kong Film Awards. His feature The Lapse was invited to the Bucheon Fantastic Film Festival, while BUDDY VR won Best VR Experience at the 75th Venice Film Festival. He also presented Follow the White Rabbit at Cannes. Beginning with LG’s virtual human Reah Keem, he created the virtual K-pop idol Moon Bona, expanding into virtual entertainment. His film Apartment: In the Realm of Ripley was invited to the 2024 Venice Film Festival, presenting a new genre of AI-powered interactive cinema. He is currently developing the world’s first AI-based interactive theater format and productions in partnership with CJ CGV.
Pat Pataranutaporn is a professor at MIT, directing the Cyborg Psychology research group and co-directing the Media Lab's Advancing Humans with AI Program. His research focuses on inventing, investigating, and inspiring Human-AI Systems for Human Flourishing. Pataranutaporn’s research contributions have been published in numerous peer-reviewed journals and conferences. His work has been featured in the New York Times, Guardian, and Scientific American, and recognized as TIME's "Best Inventions of 2023" and Fast Company's "World Changing Ideas" (2023, 2025). He has collaborated with NASA, OpenAI, KBTG, Stanford Medicine, Harvard, and Microsoft Research. Pataranutaporn co-created and wrote the Netflix series Tomorrow and I (2024).
Joanne Jang is the Head of Model Behavior at OpenAI, where she shapes ChatGPT models’ personality, ideal behavior, and how they collaborate with people. She has also overseen launches including GPT-4, Voice Mode, Memory, and DALL·E 2, OpenAI’s first consumer product. Joanne focuses on bringing new capabilities into the world while designing for users and their creativity. She holds a B.S. in Applied Math and an M.S. in Computer Science from Stanford University. Her first and last acting credit came at age seven, as the daughter of the characters played by Kim Hyesoo and Jeong Boseok in a horror film directed by Kim Jeewoon.
