Tanja Meissner, Director of the European Film Market (EFM), will introduce the vision and key programs of Berlinale Pro and explore opportunities for sustained collaboration between ACFM and EFM. The session will examine corresponding initiatives across co-production, documentary, series, IP, and innovative technologies, identifying concrete points of collaboration that can connect Asia and Europe. A concluding Q&A will offer practical insights into leveraging global market infrastructure and expanding international networks.

Ellen Y. D. KIM (Director, ACFM)

Entering the film industry since the late 1990s, she built expertise in elevating Asian cinema's international standing, earning acclaim producing Cry Woman (Cannes 2002), Hanaan (2011), and Sewing Sisters (2020) at her Flying Tiger Pictures. She was instrumental in launching the Asian Film Market (now ACFM) in 2006, and produced Night and Day (2008) at Bom Film Production. She served 12 years as Program Director at BIFAN (2001–2004; 2016–2024), now leading ACFM since 2024 as Director, championing Asian cinema.

Tanja MEISSNER (Director, BERLINALE PRO and EFM)

Tanja Meissner is Director Berlinale Pro and a German-French film industry executive with over 25 years of international experience. Having held leadership positions at companies including Celluloid Dreams and Memento Films, she has extensive expertise in film sales, financing, production, distribution, and exhibition. In addition to her industry leadership, she is a lecturer, mentor, and regular market expert for international organizations and training initiatives, supporting the development of the global audiovisual sector.
