As a public corporation under the Korean government, the Korea Racing Authority (KRA) has been actively contributing to the growth of the AI industry in line with national development policies. Over the past two years, KRA has collaborated with the young startup Freewillusion Inc. to produce innovative AI branded content. What began as a three-member startup has now evolved into a 50-member AI production company gaining significant recognition in the industry. In the second half of this year, KRA will partner with another AI startup to produce an AI hybrid documentary film, and next year it will launch an AI competition open to both professionals and the public. We proudly present the past, present, and future of KRA’s AI branded content ecosystem—an open stage where creators and production companies, driven by AI technology and passion, can share achievements and grow together.
Moderator
PARK Hwajoong (Senior Manager, KRA)

Park Hwajoong, a deputy director at the Korea Racing Authority, currently serves as an announcer for Korean horse racing. He was deeply moved when he witnessed visually impaired fans enjoying the races solely through the sound of live commentary—an experience that inspired him to pursue this career path. Since then, Park has become a key figure in bringing horse racing closer to the public—not only through live broadcasts and insightful race analysis, but also by actively engaging younger generations via the YouTube channel ‘KRBC.’ In recognition of his contributions, he was named Communicator of the Year at the Korea Communication Awards 2024. Most recently, Park has been exploring the future of horse racing with the help of AI, challenging the boundaries of the sport with the question: "How far can we race with AI by our side?" He is dedicated to making horse racing more accessible to everyone by continuously producing branded content powered by AI technologies.
