TorinoFilmLab (TFL) is an international audiovisual laboratory supporting emerging and established talent from around the world through comprehensive training, project development, funding, and networking opportunities. Applications are currently open for its 2027 cycle, encompassing four core programs: FeatureLab (tailored for directors and producers developing their 1st or 2nd feature film), ScriptLab, ComedyLab, and SeriesLab.

Fran BORGIA (Producer, AKANGA FILM ASIA / Ambassador, TORINOFILMLAB)

Fran Borgia is the founder of Akanga Film Asia. Over the past two decades he has produced numerous critically acclaimed films, including A Land Imagined (2018), which won the Golden Leopard at the Locarno Film Festival. His producing credits include Yuni (Toronto Platform Prize 2021), Tiger Stripes (Cannes Critics’ Week Grand Prize 2023), Stranger Eyes (Venice Main Competition 2024), Village Rockstars 2 (Busan Jiseok Award 2024), Renoir (Cannes Main Competition 2025), and Amoeba (Toronto Discovery 2025). He is currently pursuing a PhD on Poetic Cinema at Auckland University of Technology, and serves as an Ambassador for TorinoFilmLab.
